GBSC Soccer Cup:

This is our End-of-the-Year Event!  Don’t miss it!  This Saturday, December 5th at 10:00 a.m at Forster Ranch Park behind Truman Benedict/BAMS School.  Please get there at 9:30 a.m. so we can prepare the teams and warm up to start playing at 10:00 a.m.  Please don’t forget to sign up in the GBSC lobby to get on a team.  Your friends and families are welcome to play, too!  Please bring some water and gatorade.  We are looking for a volunteer to be referee – let us know if you would like to do this!  We will be playing until 1:00 p.m.

Instructors Program is Back:

To teach BJJ is the best way to learn it. We’ll have a special class this upcoming Friday to meet all candidates and those interested in joining the instructors program. Please come by GBSC to get more info. The class will be from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. this Friday, December 4th!

Last  Sunday marked a milestone at Gracie Barra San Clemente as our Women’s Program and all it efforts pays off.   Prof. Flavio and Coach Vivi were proud to promote a few of the GBSC Girls to their Blue Belts.   The Women’s Program started with  just a few GB Girls training and has grown to over 30 women.  GB Girls now have their own curriculum and a signature Pink Gi. ” It’s an exciting moment to watch them progress and the program evolve to what it is today”  said Coach Vivi.  They  each began their journey focusing on the drills, learning the techniques and now their personalities show up within their Jiu-Jitsu on the mats.  Many of the girls started training as a form of cardio, self-defense, or to loose weight as they would soon discover it has become so much more than that.  It’s a lifestyle!

Yes, it’s true!!!!  We’ve created Women’s Only BJJ classes at our Dana Point location!  They are scheduled in the evenings every Tuesday and Thursday from 6 pm to 7pm.  This gives our female students the opportunity to train at night, if they can’t make the morning classes at GBSC.  Also, you can cross-train at both locations if you’d like to attend all the women’s classes, so, grab your Visitors Card at GBSC and see you on the GBDP Mats!

And even better…

The women’s BJJ class at GBDP is right after the kids class, so it will be easier for the moms to train at this time!

Hi All,

As of today, GB Dana Point is now open to the public and and all regular classes are up and running! Keep in mind that the GBDP Class Schedule compliments the main GBSC Class schedule.  Now you have more classes available to you every day of the week, so you can choose the ones that are most convenient for you to attend.  Make sure you get a Visitor’s Card from GBSC so you can cross-train at both schools!

Don’t miss the first Women’s BJJ class tonight at GBDP!  They will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.  Hope to see you there!

Gracie Barra Visitor’s Card!!

Gracie Barra has recently created a Visitor’s Card so you can track & count the classes you attend @ other GB Schools. The visitor’s card allows all GB students from CA to cross train between schools as much as they want & to have those classes count towards their general attendance @ their home school! If you don’t have one yet, please get one from our staff @ GBSC. With GBDP opening, you need one!

GBSC Soccer Cup!!

On December 5th, Gracie Barra San Clemente Students will be getting together to play in our Soccer Cup tournament!! This is our end of year event and we expect to see all of our students there. If you are planning to play, don’t forget to sign your name on the pre-registration sheet that’s posted on the school’s board in the lobby.

Hi Guys!

We all had a great time at Gracie Barra Dana Point last Sunday!!!!! All the classes were so much fun and the seminar taught by Professor Flavio Almeida was packet with over 35 people on the mats. Check the pictures below

We are working hard to get our second location ready! At this point we expect to open on Monday, November 23rd. More news will be communicated shortly.

GBDP Opening Date:

Due to construction issues, Gracie Barra Dana Point will be now be opening its doors to the public for the first time on Monday, November 23rd!!  The new school looks awesome and we hope that you will come and take some classes and check it out next week!  We think you will be really happy with the class schedule and location!  If you have any friends who live in the area who are interested in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, please bring them to our brand new school!

GBSC Girls Group Picture:

On Sunday, November 22nd at 9:00 a.m., our female students will have a very special event they can’t miss!  We’re going to take a group picture of the women in their gi’s, BEFORE CLASS, so they look beautiful in the picture!  This picture is going to be used to decorate the new school in Dana Point!  Afterwards, we are going to have a special self defense class.  Put it in your calendar and please don’t miss this opportunity!

GBSC Soccer Challenge:

On Saturday, December 5th, Gracie Barra San Clemente will be hosting their 1st Annual GBSC Soccer Cup Championship from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Forster Ranch Park!

All of our students are invited to sign up for the tournament.  Once we know who’s playing, we’ll form Kids and Adults teams.  The winners of the games will play for the championship trophy!

There is a poster and sign up sheet in the lobby at GBSC!  Sign up TODAY!!  You don’t want to miss this great opportunity to finally (maybe) be able to beat your Professor and Coaches at a sport!  It’s going to be a fun, fun, fun day!!!
